I finished installing the Magnaflow exhaust from last week's group buy today. Midas quoted me $120

for the install, so I decided to do it myself. A little more time and blood, but it was more fun.

It sounds and looks great. There is a little bit of a rattle at idle I need to hunt down, still.

Yeah the old one is hideous looking! The muffler also weighs quite a bit more than the entire Magnaflow system (or so it felt like).
Nope on the Z06, that's just a regular old Coupe.

I wonder if you have any plans for the old, I would love to see a inside cut-away of what the internals look like, ya know restrictiveness, those suit-case mufflers look extremely complex, does anyone have a pic of the inside???

I had a little rattle in mine when I installed it. It was rattling against the heat shield by the rear tire. i just pushed up on the shield with a 1/2 in ratchet handle. Done!

That's actually a good point... what should I do with the old one? I guess I had planned on throwing it away, so maybe taking it apart would be entertaining.

I have a Jetta, with the same exact problem after I installed a system. I think I need more than pushing up on the heat shield though.
