so since i'm still new to vw tuning. if i'm not able to buy a 25th anniversary gti when they come out, i might as well just build something similar. what are some good body kits (really only seen ottinger/projektzwo), suspension, brakes? prices?

The areas you mention are all commonly discussed around here. Take some time and check out the various forums, use the search function a little bit, and you'll soon find the answers you seek (or at least some more specific questions).

You can get eurobumpers and the 25th kit (may have to wait a bit) for around $2k
Then you have to paint it.
Gotta get 18" BBS RC's...that's $2500 if it's a dime
Bigger front brakes will run ya $500 easy
Just front Recaros of that grade will be $2000
Dash trim is $250 or so
You can get the steering wheel, pedals, badges, sills, Ebrake, shifter, etc all from here/there...figure another $850
So for $7K, you can get close.

i saw that first one. i'm really liking the ottinger kit. know a price for the front valance? what about a magnaflow exhaust?
