My traditional yearly Season Review is out now! A compilation of the best video footage of 2020 taken by the video filmers around The Ring, mixed with some onboard scenes. Big thanks to all of them who take their time standing outside The Ring in wind and weather to give us those nice outside views. Thanks guys (and gals) that you admitted me to use your footage!
The last 2020 lap of the rarely driven VLN Layout of The Ring. Nordschleife plus the short version of the GP course.
Meeting a pretty fast stock 992 Carrera from Carousel and following till the end. Have fun!
And now ... the last upload of material of the 2020 season. One complete stint on the Full Course of Nordschleife,
including the 2,6 Kms long straight "Döttinger Höhe" which can not be driven full whilst touristic driving sessions.
Done with the still bone stock MK 7.5 TCR (out of the box so to say...). Temperatures and the amount of already
done laps at this day (it was late afternoon) didn't make it easier tbh...
Youtube kicked me out of their Partner Programm with my old channel. Due to "technical issues" (pretended illegal klicks in the account) they said. And did not want to talk or argue about that. They even didn't want to hear what I have to say...
So I was forced to begin a new channel. If you want to, please subscribe to this new channel linked below. And don't forget to click the little bell and switch announcements "all". Kind thanks in advance. 🙏 Every subscription helps to get back the channel status.
I'm in Berlin and picked up a MK7 GTI after 5 years here without a car. I moved from the US, where I did an occasional track day, and I'd like to get back in to doing some here. Do you have any recommendations for a good entry level track day?
And how the hell did you get 245 tires past TUV? My car came with the some garbage cheap tires and that's the first thing that needs to be fixed.
Sadly I have absolutely no idea about the track day scene around Berlin or northern Germany. Sorry! 🙏
The complete build was made in a motorsports garage specialized in Tracktools. They know how to get
certain combinations TUV legal. Afaik the hack is to claim the car as "mostly track used". A TUV specialist
has to check and confirm that. Afterwards you have the possibility to stretch the rules a bit...
But I think 245 tires on an 18'' rim should be possible for every Golf 7 with single approval. Sure the tires
don't have to stripe anywhere and all wheels are free usable without any issues. And probably you need
some neg. cancer all around.
