Marred and scratched clear coat - how to fix - xpost from detailing

Sorry, I didn't get any help from Detailing so I've moved it here:
I've got several parallel running door length scratches on the rear passenger door of my Passat. I think a couple kids at my son's school where horsing around and one of them landed on the door while wearing one of those backpacks with several hard plastic buckles.
I keep Swirl Remover on hand just for these types of situations, but this time it just wasn't enough. I managed to remove only the light scratches at the beginning and end points of each mark. Some of the marks are hazy and in just a couple small places the clearcoat is cut deep. Anyone have a suggestion on what I should do?
I think one option is to find a professional that will restore the finish or just give it a new finish altogether - but that will be many $$$.

what you need to do is get your hands on an electric buffer, like a craftsman from sears or something, then go out and buy a wax system such as mothers or miguires get the one two three step process. step one is a cleaner wax or something that will cut your paint down to the clear coat and get rid of any other crap thats sitting on the paint, step two is a scratch and swirl mark remover, this will try and hide the scratches that you have and will help blend any thing deeper than clear coat into the paint, then step three will completely wax the area or car... thats the best way to handle something like this!
