I'm looking into getting suspension work done on my GTI, and have, after reading a pretty convincing article, decided _against_ coilovers... Or maybe I'm just not willing to go the extra hundred miles and dish out that kind of cash.
So, I've decided (pretty much) on a matched spring and shock... The HR Cup kit comes to mind first, as it's the only set I've heard of.
So my question is, who else make matched sets (for the Mk4 GTI) that can save me some work matching them myself? I'm looking, ultimately, for something that'll give me between a 1 and 1.5" drop, and the HR cup kit goes a little further putting my down 50mm or 2 inches. On the HR web site they mention camber-adjustments being 'required' for that kind of a drop... what will reduce the negative camber, and what will it cost?

Re: Matched springs/struts (AD)

I think the Weitec Cup Kit might be matched - not sure though. You can't adjust the camber on the front of our cars - mine is -1.7 and -1.8 with the H&R Cup Kit (which I might be selling to raise the car some).

Re: Matched springs/struts (Raring 2 Go)

Raring 2 go,
How long do tires generally last you with that kind of neg. camber, and does it have any other negative effects on the car?
What would you be switching to, if you take out the Cup Kit?
Thanks for the input! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
