I love the look of these grills...just trying to figure out what the difference is in quality? I've done searches, and people aren't all that sure??

Is it just kinda a luck of the draw thing on if you're grill is going to be wavy? Also, I'd be getting it painted...are they both made for this? Thanks...

PITA to paint it perfectly.. no problems with fitting, but there is this GREAT "BONRATH" stamp right on the bumper... very ugly, and i will sand them off ...

I had a Mattig and it was a pain in the behind to paint... the paint did not stick to the material very well at all. It had to be re-sanded and primered serveral times before an 'acceptable' paint job was able to be done.

The Bonrath i had for my GTI wasn't bad... it's just the Jetta Mattig I had was bad. If you take it to a good body shop they should be able to paint the grille properly.

heh....so basically it doesn't matter which grill I were to get, as long as I have some patience to find a good shop that can do it right the first time? no issues with the wavy stuff I've heard alot about?
