This is not an advertisment I'm curious what people think of this new side skirt that Maxton Design has coming out. The center of the skirt is red and I think it would really good, similar to the Hyundai Elantra N's red line around the edge.

There's no pictures of it on the car only this product image. It's quite expensive as well, for a non cf product at like $475

I like it, but I wouldn't use it =)

It's a lil bold for my taste. I would love to see more owners run it though. I think it would look good on most cars to match the GTI red accents.

It's like me, I love Red or Bright colored cars, but I like to look at them. But I prefer not to own them.

It's $352 with red, or $295 without red. Which isn't too bad.

I understand, it's like the clubsport decal. I have a black car and I need it to pop just a bit more. Two straight thin red lines at the bottom might be enough.

I really like the red line around the Hyundai EN

Like I said, it's a clean look. But also turns it into a boyracer styling instantly. Cool track look. It's no longer just an accent.

All personal style.

What visual modifications aren't boy racer in your opinion?
I mean, it's all personal taste, right.

The Elantra EN, IMO would look clean with color matched side, front splitters. If it was white on that car, would look more classy. But that's just me.

Aesthetically, I think it looks really good with the red accents. But lil too much for my taste.

If you like it, you should go for it! It's like wheels, everyone has their own taste.

I think you're right. I also ask for advice because I have a tendency to over style cars. I just wish I had something other than Black.

I'm fairly opinionated about my likes. But there's a mid ground on how to make a clean aggressive style. The red/black look is good.

But personally, love the subtle clean look. I think the red accent on GTI logo, GTI blade and red brakes are just right about. Adding too much more makes it too much.

But I've also seen some clean cars that have done it right. I'll be honest, if you like the red on splitters, it's a good look.

They have splitters as well but I don't think they have a red accent.

Their front splitters are similar to the aliexpress ones, not eeally that special.
Referring to these. They are available but there is a wait time of a few months. I personally have the non accented splitter as the veloster N style is a bit flashy for my taste. I think on the right MK8 build the full splitter set would look pretty sick.

I agree, would look pretty good with both. I never personally experienced the Durability line, but I wouldn't get a front splitter from Maxton unless it's their Durability line. Their other thin splitters are known to crack.

Agree with that statement, I think the splitter in black has the right amount of aggression, the red would look good on the right setup.

I cross shopped the Veloster N before buying my MK8 so I can't act too snobby at the design. I think it is a great looking car, the Elantra N not so much.

Agree on the ABS Maxton splitters being thin. Saw multiple videos of them wilting away at the slightest impact, including a video of a Golf R owner whos newly installed Maxton splitter busted on its maiden voyage. Getting the black racing durability splitter installed Monday with a few other things, it feels very well built and... durable.
