Members in the NW Indiana/Chicagoland Area

Greetings from the Windy City. I see mostly East Coast, West Coast and Canadian members posting. Are there any other members from NW Indiana and the Chicago Area using this forum.
Also does anyone know about any junkyards in the area that have MKIIIs? I only know about 3Qs on the southside but they are way too expensive! http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif

How 'bout Southern Indiana? Does that count?! Not many dubs down here unless you count old dudes driving Jetta TDis. Oh, and the dude driving the Yellow New Beetle with the Yellow Letter Goodyear Eagle #1s on it! Someone needs to talk with that guy!
Re: Members in the NW Indiana/Chicagoland Area (shardboy)

I live in South Bend still.........
I know of a couple shows that are actually in Indiana. Email me if you want some info on them. I don't know if I have any dates yet though for this year.

I'm in Munster. Sorry, can't really help you with any salvage yard info. Might be some in Gary
I think on Grant. Doubt they have any MKIII's though

Nope. Nobody here.

I haven't seen any worthwhile junkyards around here, but to be honest I haven't looked too hard.

Not to try to tear people away from Vortex, but a lot of Chicago area VDubbers have been chatting for quite a while over on http://www.MiwestImportRacing.com in the "Euro" forum and in the "Events and Gatherings" forum.

Also, there are quite a few junkyards here, one that is east of Cline ave on 169th, a couple on 165th, check 'em out, but don't even try the pick-n-pull, they're all stripped out.

Re: Members in the NW Indiana/Chicagoland Area (Caleb)

Caleb- There is a show in Ft. Wayne... It is the second annual show hosted by the Old Fort VW Club. There were a WHOLE LOT of cars there for the first show last year. The Pres of the club just emailed me the dates. I'm helping out with the watercooled crowd attendance. The dates for this year are June 14-15. There will be a cruise the night of the 14 and the show will be the 15 at the same very nice park that it was held at last year. It was a lot of fun and the show was handled great. Nice and laid back with lots of cool people. Ft. Wayne is also a very fun town at night usually as far as the car scene goes....... Me and the club pres. Scott will be heading out to play with some imports after the show if we don't get enough the night before after the cruise.
Anyone that wants to go, get a hold of me and we will get a caravan together and maybe we can work on getting rooms at the same hotel if anyone will need a place to stay the night after the cruise/before the show day.
Email me at [email protected]

there's quite a bit of midwest people on here. we are all just all over this site. i'm mostly in the corrado, photography, car audio forums. if you see a black stock looking (except for the exhaust) corrado vr6 driving around, it's me. no stickers, and mostly in schaumburg area.
