I just bought 4 new tires and i went with the michelen pilot...
I put them on my stock gti vr6 rims.....The car handles so much better than those continentals tires that i had on there.....Any body else have a experience with the pilots....

Basically the two best performance tires on the market are the pilot Sport and Bridgestone S0-3s.....BFGoodrich KDs also rock. The handling improvements just by installing one of the above mentioned tires is enormous....

I hear they are really good.By the way the M5 comes with pilot sports so they must be really good.

I've noticed that GTIs don't come with high performance tires such as the Michelin Pilot Sports, but come instead with Michelin Pilot all season tires. However, I have also noticed that the Jettas that come with the 17" wheels come with high performance "summer" tires. Anyone else find this to be true?? And by the way, the Pilot Sport is the best tire that Michelin makes for the public.

I have a jetta and it came with ALL SEASONS pilots.too bad but i have seen some jetta with the pilot sports

the french know how to make a few things well..... tires are one of them.
i just got 4 pilots too, they handle crazy in the street and in the rain. I can corner at like 45-50, it sticks to the ground like krazy glue

try running yokohama AVS sports...like a whole new car..

yokohama prada, avs, a520 (if you can stand the noise) are all friggin hard core sticky, but the Michellins are a bit more capable in other areas.

when you look at an s03, compared to some of the yoko avs, or kumhos, or even pilot sports... the tread looks downright subdued...
they're really good stuff?
