I have a 2002 Jetta GLS. Yesterday I left my lights on and had to get my car jumped. When I started driving, the Malfunction Indicator Lamp started flashing and I noticed the engine got a bit jumpy with a loss of power and responsiveness if I got up to 35 or so. However, if I slowed down enough or when down a hill the light turned off. I was planning on taking it in, but wondered if this is an easy fix relating to the battery going out since it was working fine before or if something more serious might be going on. Also, should I drive it in and just keep my speed low or get it towed?
