i just got my milltek exhaust in todays. its for the jetta (bora). there is about 3/4 inch between the exhaust tips. i thought they were suppose to be practically touching eachother.
are mine messed up? (havent installed yet)

u can't really tell in the pic, but an inch would be way to much gap.
i can't get my finger in between, but they are not touching.
unless its a new revision, with tips spread. also if u would post a pic
we can definately compare.

yea pictures will help. first thing tomrw ill do that....
i just went and measured the gap. Its 3/4 of an inch wide.
i have small hands and i fit my finger right through the gap.
ill take pics of the install next week. waiting for my 2002.5 cutout valance to arrive.

hm maybe mine isnt defective. altough umbrovr6 said he cant put his finger through his tip gap. anyone else have about 3/4 inch?

here is a sound clip of the Millteks... what I like about them so much is they give you a low rumble at idle and low revs, but don't make a racket at higher revs... the engine makes more sound than the exhaust around 5k rpm.

well sound im not worried about now. im sure it sounds good. either way i wanted a not too loud exhaust so this was the only choice plus they are a good manufacturer.
im worried about my 3/4 in gap between my two tips being abnormally big.

I want to say that the gap is correct. they arent directly lined up together

yup thats about what mine looks like. so i guess it does seem correct. ill have to try to borrow my friends digi sometime today and show u guys.
