Well, here I'm, sharing my sad story

Of course I did not follow this threat and what a friend of mine did was to drain for one of the plugs marked in yellow and fill by the one marked in blue

And after almost two hours driving my R this is what happened:

Now I have to get the transfer case (I did not even know that they were two different thinks) damn!

Any advise will be so much appreciate it, I'll try to get one used because my car has 89k miles and no extended warranty.

Hello, I introduce myself since I'm new to the forum and I'm looking for some information.

I have a Skoda octavia Scout of the year 2012 and I have a problem with the transfer box

For some time now I have been observing that I lose some oil, but it is not continuous. Although my English is not very good and I help the translator, I understand that the audi3 to which you change the oil of the transfer box also had a loss. In my skoda I can not find out where that loss is coming from. Normally, it would be a check or a board, but I do not think so. You can guide me about that loss. It even seems to me that it may be due to some of the screws that connect the casing of the transfer box.

Has anyone happened the same?

Thank you

Greetings to all!

Hello and welcome.
I have this problem as well. If you look at the first picture, the bolts that go around the bevel box, mine were not tight. I can’t give a torque number but I tightened them a my leak is almost nonexistent. Before There would be a few drops of gear oil on my skid plate when I removed it to change the engine oil. Now there is nothing but a little on the bevel case. If you decide to try tightened them, be very careful!!! The case is aluminum and will strip very easily.

Thank you very much for your help. I have already squeezed them and it seems that something has sent the leak. I have thought to take out the two screws where I think I lost and put each one a metal / rubber gasket that goes very well for drain screws and I trust that this leak will be sent back !!

:öl::öl::öl: Ahh lördag!
