If anyone is looking for a mk1 converted syncro AWD conversion, I am selling mine. Everything has been modified to fit an mk1, and was installing and working for the past year on my car. I have the bellhousings to fit a vr6, and for all the 4 cylinder blocks. The transmission has new 1-2-3 syncros, and has new differential bearings. Everything is a direct bolt on (includes ALL shortened shafts, narrowed trailing axle etc), although there is still fabrication that has to be done to the body of the car. This could very well be a once in a lifetime deal, as I think this is the one and only rabbit to ever be done. I am looking for $3500u.s., and will give the buyer complete support along the way. I think that is a very fair price, as I have a lot more invested in this conversion.

Hi,
I'm located in Spain, and one thing I can tell you for sure. The 4 motion won't hold that kind of power. A friend's Seat Leon TDI 150 (with the haldex system) doing 235hp, destroyed the rear diff in a weekend.
I'd better go for an early Quattro setup. I used to run an Audi RS2, and the original diff blew up. I then fitted the early one, and unbreakable! A bit more noisy, but it holds well the power. I could do full turbo starts with little spin, whereas the original could spin the back end quite hard.
