So I am embarking on this neat adventure tonight and while I have been told I can cram the dash in there I would rather make it look presentable. What I am looking for is a pic of what somebody who has done the swap cut off the mk2 dash. Anything showing the sides of the dash after it was cut and the back of the dash would be appreciated. Also, of you guys have any other helpful tips, that would be great, too.
As always, thanks. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Is that sheet metal?

Nope, just 0.030 aluminum bent and cut. Cheers, WWR.

you dont need to cut the end off at all
i just cut out about 1/2 inch on the strip that goes underneath the glovebox and reinforced it from behind and she tucked right into place
you do have to drill 2 1/4 inch holes in the firewall/ cowl area for the 2 studs to go through and then attach nuts to them. it secures the das in quite nicely
then 2 lil brackets tbehind on the sides to attach the sides of the dash to the braces there for the mk1 dash
its not that bad just dry fit it a bunch o times and measure a lot before you drill or cut
