A3 rad won't fit, and the fan housing will fit with a few mods... Best bet would be to find one from a Corrado or a B3/B4 Passat... Those will bolt right up!!
I got a dual fan from an A3 GLX in exchange for a few parts... So I'll be using that on my B3 Passat and trimming the bottom 2" so it will fit... Do the same thing to install it on an A2.

what year are the b3/b4 passat? passats and corrado around here are as rare as finding a beautiful girl who has a good personality to match heh heh j/k i was thinking about doing this cuz i saw a new radiator selling for $60 so i thought why not go to the junk yard and get the complete rad/fan instead...with an xflow swap i gotta splice up some stuff to run the a2 fan/radiator...i've seen dual fan kits for a2 vw's selling for $250-$300...wow

so are you guys saying that the mkIII dual fans will literally plug in to my mkII wiring??? if so, cool, if not...what wires=what?

use an entire B3 Passat VR6 radiator and fan shroud and get the Passat hoses to splice into the ones you currently have. Takes some work but is well worth it if you have a 16v and live in a place that exceeds 90 everyday for 3 months.

i doubt the mk3 wiring plugs directly...i am thinking about this cuz i am doing a full motronic xflow swap from a mk3..thus i have to splice into the mk2 fan wiring to run it with the mk3 wirings...this means the plug itself isnt interchangable but you can splice the wire in because they are similar probably
o by the way...since you can make the mk3 fan fit..why not run the mk3 fan w/mk2 raditor?

i thought the dual fan setup from a passat (b3) was a direct fit?
