I am about to start my vr6 Swap and wondering what is the best way?
I have a donor jetta with a vr6, that has a auto tranny. I am about to drop this motor in my Golf GL. I have all of the parts (brought tranny, starter, shift box with cables and etc.) I did my homework. With that said. I want to do a 5 lug conversion as well. Confirmed that the axles for a auto and 5 spd are the same. So I am wondering if I can just unbolt the subframe with everything still intack and roll it all out? Once it is all out I can swap tranny and so on. But I am trying to figure out where to start.
Let me know if you have any better Idea's or know where to start.
BTW, these are both for MK3's.

prob take the motor/trans out. and then take rear K frame struts out and move to new car. then change trans and put back in.

Not sure that is the best way. As I was told that I can unbolt sub Frame and roll entire assembly over. Just need to find out what is the best way to do it.

do it that way then, if you need to pull the trans out anyway why do it that way. i really dont care just telling you how i would do it.
