Does anyone have any experience or has heard of a 6 speed box being fitted to a 20V VR5?

Currently got the stock 5 speed and was curious as to whether the 1.8t 6 speeds are a straight swap or will some modifications have to be made/not fit at all?

Not sure if there are any diesel 6 speeds available but will any of these be compatible also?

You’ll need a VR6 02M as the 1.8t bell housing wouldn’t bolt on. I think you might be able to get away with a 1.8t or diesel gearbox if you really want to, but you would still need the VR bell housing and your ratios might be all over the place. Hopefully others with more experience can chime in.
