With the recent increase in threads regarding what size adapters/spacers and tire sizes to run. I thought one master thread would help cut down on so many threads regarding some of the similar questions.
This isn't another thread asking you to post your car and your specs. It's more of a thread to have information regarding the same type of subject in one place. Since so many people aren't sure what is needed to help them get the stance they need please answer the questions below so that we can help you.
Whele Size:
Width (F & R):
Offset (F & R):

It may also be beneficial to supply your cars height, but I know not everyone had their numbers and would need to measure. Once you have supplied those 3 pieces of information we will be able to tell you what size adapters/spacers & tires will work best (in our own personal opinion). And should you be looking to change lips/barrels, most people on the forum know how to calculate the math to figure out what the new offset would be. For those who don't know, I would suggest looking through Calvins thread here: Final Calculations After Lip and/or Barrel Change
If you need adapter sizes, please post the bolt pattern and center bore of the wheel you are looking to adapt.
For most stock mk4s people run 5,8, or 10mm front and 15,17.5,20mm for the rear. Lets not clog this thread up with questions asking about stock mk4 wheels since that info has been covered a ton of times already and can easly be found in the archives.
Another helpful thread regarding offsets is Dragon813gt's thread: So you have a question about MKIV offsets???

You must post the wheels' offset!
Otherwise your request will be ignored.

I'd say 10mm front and 15mm rear spacers and 215/40 512s personally.

If you're low enough:
205/40/18 f
215/40/18 r
OR
215/35/18 f
215/40/18 r
18x8.5 ET15 f/r
If you're taller than "low enough":
205/40/18 f
215/40/18 r
OR
215/40/18 f/r
18x8.5 ET20-25 f
18x8.5 ET15-20 r

thats exactly what i was thinking pretty much...i'm really undecided on the tire size of either 205/215.....the rears are going to be ET15 i believe.

Here is a pic of the current ride height...The fronts are going to go a tad lower once i get the frame notched
...i dont like the idea of self notching and it's already hitting pretty good...

what do you think now after you've seen the ride height? Im leaning more towards 1 size all around because i want to be able to rotate my wheels.

I would do 215/40/18 and 8.5 ET20 front and ET15 rear on your car. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

17x8 front et 45
17x9 rear et 45
wheels are 5x114.3 with a center bore of 59.8
I was thinking after adapters, et 10 all around, 205/45 up front and 215/45 in the rear.
As far as height, I was just under 24" in the front last summer with the stock aristos but most likely will be going lower this season. What do you guys think?

Ditto, that's exactly what I run.

I'd personally recommend et15 front, et20 rear. Going as low as you suggested in the offsets will require you to be a lot lower than 24". Et 10 and 15 will work well if you plan on going down to 23 or lower.

Great idea Travy, I like this thread http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

4TheHonor I'd say et10 all around is pretty good. The rears will poke a little bit so maybe going somewhere between et10 and 15 would work better depending on how low you are. Tire sizes are good, you could run 205/45s in the rear in you want more stretch too

19X8.5 ET35 Front
19X9.5 ET40 Rear
i want some nice moderate stretch

15mm spacers up front with 215/40 tires and 20mm spacer rear with 225/40 tires would work well if it's pretty low

Ah didn't see that they're 19s, so 35 series would make more sense haha
