I believe the lights in your picture were handpainted black, because in the bought-smoked version, the bottom round dummy is black, and its still chrome in yours. See what I mean !

Also, get a kamei grill with a badge, looks way better in my opinion ! Potterman sells the smoked MK4's for $375 w. free shipping, plus if you get a kamei grill + headlight order, the kamei is only $250 ! Check it out ! here!

Here's some information for your friend.
You can buy the Hella G4-Style blacked-out headlights already painted, and the Kamei Sport Mesh grill at basically any place that sells VW aftermarket parts, but the best two are Potterman (www.parts2vws.com), who has a combination deal if you buy the lights and the grill at the same time, and also includes brackets with the light, or if you are from Canada, you don't have to pay border taxes if you buy both items from PG-Perforamce (www.pgperformance.com), in B.C., who also have great prices!
