Is there a way to turn off fault detection for the city lights on a MkIV?
I installed one LED for testing but receive the following error code:

Re: Mk5 LED City Lights - possible? (Theresias)

Yesterday I was making changes to that byte and switched the rear parking light mode (by mistake). So tonight I fixed that and made the change you requested using the below code. However the change didn't help, aby other ideas?

Your original code was:
24 01 8E 2B 40 04 15 1F 4E 14 00 00 00 14 00 00 00 09 73 07 5C
Recommended code was:
24 01 8E 2B 40 04 15 1F 4E 14 00 00 00 14 00 00 00 09 73 05 5C
Your last posted code was:
24 01 8E 2B 40 04 15 1F 4E 14 00 00 00 14 00 00 00 09 73 09 5C

Sometimes LEDs in the City Lights won't work. Please double check your coding, and consider the JamStrait LEDs, which seem to work regardless of coding.
JamStraits can be purchased at AutoZone.

Tim,
I changed the Rear Parking Light setting by mistake before my original post. So after fixing my misate the original code was:
24018E2B4004151F4E140000001400000009730B5C
Sebastian's suggestion was to turn off cold diagnosis for the Front Parking Lights, the result was:
24018E2B4004151F4E14000000140000000973095C
It appears that the LED's I'm using won't work so it's off to the store for a set of JamStrait LEDs.
Thanks!

The only stopper on the JamStraits is their outside diameter.
Compare the over all size to a stock w5w/194 bulb before you buy.
They do look nice in the Side Markers...
