can I use a MkIV MAF on my 98 gti 2.0
i have heard that the MkIV ones are cheaper due to all of the recalls
any info on this would be much appreciated

I was told that the MAF's on the MkIII had better resistance when talking about electronics and that they were more accurate in air flow readings. Whatever that resistance part means, a volkswagen parts specialist told me to interchange an older MkIII MAF into my Mk IV.
