so I have a 2.slow ha ha jetta. And like the topic that was brought up a few days back, it's automatic. I know from going to shows and such no one has tried to do anything with a 2.0 auto. Yeh go and flame me, but it was a free car- i'm 17 and my dad would kill me if i a. pulled out the engine or b. sold it. so what would you guys recommend for car mods? this is my list so far, without a couple random extras that really don't matter.

Dude! Definetely mod your 2.0 auto! It may not be as fast as the manual, but it will still be a fun car to drive. See my mods in my signature.
I'm very happy with my car. I've taken it to a few autocrosses and it's a great car to drive.
Good choices on the mods... your car will handle great, perform better and look fricken good http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
There is actually a guy down here who has a full show car (custom paint, shaved handles, roll bar, custom leather interrior, turbo pushing 8 psi) and still has an automatic. Granted, I dont suggest it, but he's hoping to do the manual swap next.
Do what makes you happy. I used to drive an automatic, and now that i have a stick, I HATE driving an automatic. Except in 5 mph stop and go LA traffic
But yeah, Keep modding your car and make yourself happy.
You may want to consider interrior next. Either upgrading to GLX leather or getting some racing seats.
build it from the ground up as others would say...
suspension first!
coilovers or spring/shocks
sway bay rear and/or front or both
front/rear upper strut bars
wider/bigger tires/rims
then stuff like chip, exhaust, cam etc....
but i wouldnt suggest engine stuff yet since yours is an auto, just make it fun through the twisties first
I'm just joking.. talk to GAKI.... he has a 2.slow auto Jetta... he seems to be satisfied with it-

he also seems to be a little bitchy about it as well....read the "automatic or manual thread" you will see what i am talking about...... http://****************.com/smile/emthdown.gif
