So far here are hte mods I have that will not void the warranty, please list more if you know any!
1) Boost Gauge
2) Chip (switchable programs)
3) K and N
4) Exhaust
5) Head Unit
Any others out there? Especially and DIY mods that won't void the warranty?

Chip, exhaust, and the drop in K&N have some potential to void the warranty, well not void but give VW the right to deny service if you run into any technical problems

it all depends on the dealership, don't count on anything

They can and will find any reason to get out of warranty
Everything you have put up there can void your warranty.
Boost gage is the safest, but even that can be twisted to be at fault.

If you're worried about warranty....don't mod.
1) Boost Gauge: if the fitting is leaking....or a botchy install is causing a vacuum leak...the repair is not covered under warranty.
2) Chip: if something happens, though it's rare....void
3) K&N: too much oil, or improper seal.....causing the engine to run funny....the fix is not covered under warranty
4) Exhaust: ...too free of an exhaust...too much boost spiking....if the turbo goes....void
5) Head Unit: if you forget to disconnect it from the CAN BUS terminals and causes an error with the Comfort module.....voided warranty

Everything also depends on the dealership as well.
Driving the car the wrong way voids the warranty!!!

Agreed, with all my mods, I still get warranty work done, they have to prove that me modding the car is what caused the problem. Like your boost gauge is obviously not the reason your coil packs went out.

Can you please elaborate on this a little bit? How do I make sure the HU is disconnected from the CAN BUS terminals?

What about new wheels

yea, heavier wheels can mess up the control arms and suspension.
the wrong rolling diameter can feed bad info to the system too.
warranty safe mods...
OEM sunglasses holder
LED tail light bulbs
new badges
swapping out OEM lighting pieces (tails, side markers)
tint
interior trim
door sills
shift knobs
floor mats
rattle can black headliner
lotsa stuff. just nothing major.

umm....how are wheels going to affect your warranty? ...... any wear and tear on the car period isnt covered..... plus, your exhaust (and your clutch) arent covered under your warranty to begin with since its considered wear and tear....unless i have a different warranty contract than all of you....

"OEM sunglasses holder" - THIS IS A MOD?
"lotsa stuff. just nothing major" - nothing major at all!

Wow you guys claim anything as mods! I guess if i get an oil change and fulltank thats a mod too? Wheels feed info to what? to the tires? and tires feed to the ground and the ground feeds to the oil and the oil gets turned into gas...and i am back to my mods..hahahah
you kids are too funny!

Re: (Usetabe_honda_VR6)

Ive seen a post about a guy who was nailed and not given service because he put aftermarket wheels on his car. The dealership claimed that the stress from the larger diameter wheels(affecting ride) caused the problem.

TT /Turbo Bug pedals / W8 overhead / short throw shifter (from dealer w/purchase)/ Hella tails / eibach springs (also w/ the car from the dealer) -- I'll probably swap out the H/L's for E-codes or DOT's with the fog lamps eventually - maybe a front lower DE fog set. No motor changes for me though - I mean jeesh - this car already has plenty of power to get into trouble with. I'd like to do a stiffer "dog-bone" motor mount, but that's getting into warranty voiding range . . . I go for mostly comfort and daily driver stuff myself.
