Moonroof in my 1992 GTI

While i've got my car in my shop, i thought it would be a cool idea to replace my sunroof panel with a moonroof. Is there any car I can swap one from that will fit properly? I wont mind replacing the sunroof rails and deflector and such if the moonroof requires the interior slider to be setup properly. I dont necessarily care if the moonroof has a pop-up feature. Id rather have it just slide like my current sunroof. Ive seen a retrofit for the corrado by a passat moonroof, will that setup also fit in my gti?

i ve scene this done, my friend got a glass sunroof (moonroof) from an audi straight swap. looks hella tight. no leaks either

The corrado setup won't fit your golf. I don't know of any straight swaps out there. The best thing to do is to get the shop to install a pop up moonroof.
