would it be worth it....i can get a full cover done (it would be like the manifold covers) for about the same as a hood.....

it would be a good idea for racing purposes, and if it doesnt look like carbon fiber. painted would be nice. i wouldn't do it but good thinkin'

well i came across the idea b/c i was tlaking to a guy about shaving my hatch and instead of saying fiberglass i said carbon fiber....so he gave me an estimate and i didn't realize wut was goin on till after.....
go figure!

I was gonna do a CF trunk for my car a few months back because I have a coworker who think he can do it.. but I'm no longer doing the CF theme
It's fully possible but a lot harder than a hood, that's for sure!! A trunk isn't too bad, but a hatch would be a looooot of work. Like, a lot.

well it won't be totally a C/F hatch...it would just be a cover....so it's not performance...just looks.....

i brought this up awhile back.. i have seen it many times and i have always wanted it for my car.... but its a one of a kind task... the only person that i know of that is doing a crazy carbon trunk/hatch for an mk3 was hkk75 (sp) mr 2 door white trash

ugh. that's terrifying. Please don't, might as well just get a C/F sticker and slap it over the whole thing. FoliaTec sells that kinda thing.
