I'm not afraid to blow up a motor in the sake of learning smething that will only make the next one that much better.

You are the man!!!! http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
Will you keep on pushing the stock internals or are you upgrading to stronger rod/pistons.??

time to move on... I would love to have made 500 wheel on a stock motor, but I just don't wanna put any more money in that direction... It is sombody else's goal to obtain now... Just like the 11s in a Mk4...
It'll get done eventually.

i would hope that this year all the 1.8t heavy hitters will bring something good to the table...
i seriously think this year that the 1.8t's will wreck shop at WF...

I think us VR guys might have something to say about that.

Good luck on the new build Billy, can't wait to see how it turns out. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

We should be bringing a pretty decent VR out as well... should be lots of 10 second passes... It'll be the fastest WF yet.

Billy, when you remove the rods, can you measure with micrometer, the distance between top quadrant of crank bearing journal to the bottom quadrant of the wrist pin journal? ...basically the distance from top to bottom. See if it bent any other rods.
Did you ever detonate?

No detonation that I could ever detect.
I'll measure the rods when they are pulled out. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

because he told us

i've seen enough videos of 1.BillyT dynoing and hitting the strip to know something was bound to give at one point or another...surely you can take his word on something like that. I doubt he does it to "brag." Keep up the good work by the way Billy! I have so much more faith in my block holding 18psi (
) for many many miles to come now.
