Which muffler has the biggest bang for buck?
Looking for a exhaust that will give the highest gains.
Please list mufflers and gains HP.
I have a 2002 Jetta 2.0 (by the way)
Thanks,
Anthony

Re: Mufflers - MK4 Gains (Chadley)

I don't know if you meant "cat-back" when you said "muffler" but a muffler won't give any gain, a cat-back exhaust will...with that in mind go with TT they're among the cheapest and they make good stuff http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

I am running the Magnaflow cat-back and am quite happy with it. High-quality, easy installation, and low price. It's a bit louder than some of the others, but I would guess they are all about the same from a performance perspective. If there is any difference, it is most likely unnoticeable.

quote:

Usually it's about 5-10 hp gain at the crank with most of the aftermarket cat back exhausts.

well that's what the manufacturers claim...usually tends to be lower

A lot of v-dubbers say remus is supposed to be the best. Don't know how true it is, maybe b/c the res back puts up the same #'s (or a little higher) as the cat-back exhausts of other co.
