Hi MK1 forum
My name is Nick and I'm from Cyprus (that's a country in Europe for whoever is wondering ) and here I'll try to document my first MK1 build.

I'm coming from the Corrado forums/world so MK1's are new to me but getting one has been a dream come true. Here's my Corrado (It's been a 7 year project and now its 90% finished):

And here's the MK1:

It's a one owner, '81 RHD 2dr Mars Red 1.6 8v GTi (engine code EG), no sunroof model.
This is going to be a slow build but I'll try to update here as much as I can ;)

Pressure washed and cleaned the bay a bit today.

Decided that I'm definately shaving the washer fluid res & bracket since its useless here anyway but still not sure if I want to delete or keep the battery tray  I really like the rear battery relocation... Probably going for painting the bay next week and I really need to make up my mind on this :banghead:

My plan is to keep the bay (and the whole project as a matter of fact) close to oem so raintray stays
