Update 12/02/19

New parts came in over the weekend. Probably install the 034 trans mounts sometime this week if I get a chance.

Update 12/08/19

Finally got around to replacing my oem transmission mounts with the 034 Motorsport street density mounts. Im pretty sure the oem mounts are original to the car and have almost 200k miles on them.

The Quick Jack sure does make things a lot easier.

Up to date

Done some interior upgrades today after I got back from Pull A Part and got what I could from a near mint B5 S4 with 75k miles on it. Snagged the gloss black exterior B pillars, illuminated facelift vents (which I will wire up later), S4 leather steering wheel (the yard wouldnt sell me the airbag, so I removed the radio controls and swapped over my airbag which has minor gaps due to a slight shape change in the wheel), leather wrapped hand brake cover and the vented inner fender liners (mine were busted and holes rubbed in them).

Pulled the A4 in the garage today and got to doing some work Removed the head and found some damage to cylinder one piston, 2 pieces of what look to be rubber from an old valve cover sitting in 2 of the oil jackets on the block. Going to take the head to the machine shop later this week and have it checked and cleaned.

Little comparison of the Frankenturbo F4hl to the Holset HX35

A friend of mine also 3D printed me some coil pack adapters. Need to smooth them out and throw some paint on them, hopefully they hold up to the heat cycles.

I think I have an extra euro valve cover if you want to try it. I swapped to it when I went to the new coils.

Photobucket is doing weird things again.

Nice. Id definitely be interested in it. Having a vented cover will help more with the crankcase pressure.

Got around to bolting up the new oem oil pump. Only thing I had to bolt up, everything else is still dirty. I tried installing the oil windage tray, but its so deformed it didnt want to stay in place. Ive got another one thats still on my other block, hoping its in better shape. Ive got some sirface rust forming from where the block has been sitting, Ill get it all cleaned up later.

Been out in the garage all day making a mess of some wiring.

Why the exposed wires?

I ended up deleting the harness for the abs module, air conditioning, hood switch, windshield and headlight washer pumps. I traced the wires all the way into the cabin to the junction panel behind the driver kick panel.

I plan on deleting the maf, O2, evap purge valves from the engine harness as well.

Stripped the engine harness tonight of the old loom to freshen it up with some braided split loom and deleted the maf, o2 and evap purge valves, since Im going standalone and wont be needing them.

Got the engine harness all wrapped with split braided loom and Tessa tape. Very time consuming. Had some left over and wrapped up the harness coming from the driver fender well.

Thanks. I was surprised I had enough left from when I done the harness on my old MK2 a few years ago. I went through one full roll of the tape just on this harness.... I ordered 5 haha.

Sometimes its the little things that matter....

HPS silicone coolant block off cap for the turbo feed on the passenger side of the block. Since the Holset doesnt have coolant running through it, I needed a way to block off the feed port.

My brake lines from Allstar Performance came in today as well. Waiting on all of the fittings to show up so I can install everything.

ABS delete is pretty much finished, waiting on 1 fitting to arrive today. I didnt realize the rear lines under the driver frame rail were different, 1 male and 1 female, I had ordered both male fittings.

Passenger front going up into the false firewall

Driver front line going to false firewall

Rear line junction under the driver front frame rail

Wilwood Proportioning Valve for the rear lines and T for the front lines in the false firewall

Ill be working on cleaning up all of the dirt and grime and likely spraying some undercoating to make it look fresh.

The length on some might be a tad bit overkill, but I wanted to play it safe.

That's awesome. I wondered why you ordered a bunch of random allstar lines when there's so many SS brake line kits.
So much extra room in the bay without the ABS!
