Hey guys, a little troubleshooting for ya. When I'm driving the car, it stays on, but as soon as I pop it into neutral to stop the car, it stalls, and just turns off. Anyonme else with this problem? Or anything they can tell me?

I had the same problem, have you tried new spark plugs? it worked for mine..

Have you ruled anything out? I'd start with your ignition components (coil, cap, rotor, wires, plugs)...

i had the same sort of problems and slapped in a new ignition coil...badda boom badda bam my car was running in tip top shape again

I just got a tune up bout a year ago. I highly doubt thats the problem.
I have to rev the car in order for it to stay on. If I dont rev, it stalls.

i had a very similar problem, i changed the TB, it was the TPS that was bad but you have to changed the whole TB to replace it..

sounds like it might be the TPS, but mine did the same thing when it needed a new distributor cap and coil

How did you figure out what the problem was on your cars?

Most likely, if your car stalls or cuts off it's an electrical problem, and I had been talking with some people, I had the same problem, my Ignition Coil made my car stall sometimes or otherwise cut off whenever it felt like it, but do check your simple components first (Spark Plugs, Caps, etc.).......GioF, as ya go on you figure out why certain things act up......I would also recommend to all the people out there who are broke as hell and can't afford the trips to the dealership to get the manual for your perspective cars......Helps a lot......

Well, it won't necessarily tell you what's wrong, but it will walk you through what to do if you do find out what's wrong.....like the guy above said, check your spark plugs and stuff first and then look for something serious......

How can I test sparkplugs? I dont have the right equiptment

Just take them out.....Buy 4 spark plugs, it's not gonna be more than $20 tops...and that's if you get the top of the line BOSCH kind.....It won't hurt, just change them...u need to anyway unless they've been changed recently

Yeah, I fixed the problem. I took out one spark plug, basically looked at it, didn't really do anything, and put it back on. Started her up, and she runs better then ever..maybe it was loose or something, who knows.
