i have a cracked winshield, which is being replaced friday and i also have a hole in my headlight and fog light lens (both pass. side). i have to go have an estimate done to see what the total is. the vw dealership here in WV says that one fog lens is 52.00 and the headlight is 117.00 for a grand total w/o labor is 169.00. i figure the labor will be about 100.00 or so. so can i get some e-codes for about 250 or so?? or should i say piss on it and get the factory stuff. when i get the new light i am gonna have them gimme the old one and i am gonna try to take it apart and see if i can do my own e-codes, if i don't already have them.

get e-codes and install em yourself.. its worth the trouble, plus in the end you'll go "damn, thats my car

its a pretty easy install if youre just swapping lights so definatly, if youre just replacing stock stuff, just do it your self. just a matter of unbolting the old, bolting in the new. if you go euro, there's a little more work but even thats not too bad. i said decide what you want to do, ie...e-codes, or stock and just do it yourself.

potterman's has the best deal?? i think i am capable of the install, but what all is invovled in the install. and i think i can get a foglight lens through germanautoparts for about 40 bucks
