Brought this thing home from the dealership yesterday. Its a 2002 GTI VR6, 6 speed with an unbelievably low 27K miles.

I must say, I have owned 2.0L, 1.8T's, 2.0T's and now a VR6 and this is by far the funnest engine. It hauls balls. Coming soon are coils and an exhaust, because I just have to hear that engine sounds like with a proper exhaust.

Is it true that when lowering MKIV's, you need to swap out the end links and rear sway bar?

if you go extremely low you will need to switch out the front sway bar as it will start to rub on your axles,

I personally had this problem, and eibach is the front sway you want to go with to eliminate the axle rub

Thats really only if you are dropping this thing on its nuts Wade.
Come by and take a spin in my 24v you can get a feel for a few mods, and a listen to my exhaust

I paid probably more than I should have. They werent budging on price and I had been searching for the exact car, so I said screw it. Around 13k
