Hey that car looks familiar (or at least it did - holy hell those are some wide tires
). I think I met you at a few NEPA events last year. I'll be at Frackville this weekend so I hope to see you there.

Care to give up the specs? wheel brand and backspacing? Any fender rolling or cutting needed?

Re: my vw with 15x10's and 275's (thumper87)

I have a pretty sizeable list of mods, I'll try to list everything
first thing is a 100k mile 1.8t
Giac 93 oct x+ chip
Ghl 2.5" downpipe w/ hi flow cat
Autotech 2.5"catback from a Jetta (got for free and cut to fit)
Neuspeed p-flo intake
Neuspeed inlet pipe
Apr diverter valve
AEB big port head with VVT retrofit
custom AEB/AWW intake manifold to match ports
transmission, rebuilt several times to try different parts
current setup
Peloquin limited slip
3.68 ring and pinion for taller gearing
oem vr6 clutch w/ g60 lightened singlemass flywheel
Bildon extreme racing axles
suspension
Eibach prosystem kit springs and struts, only 1.2" lowering
Neuspeed front and rear swaybars, rear set to full stiff
Eurosport front upper strut brace
Black forest ind rear upper strut bar
Eibach front strut tower camber eccentrics, not really worth the hassle
brakes
Powerslot front and rear slotted and dimpled rotors, oem size
Hawk hps front and rear pads
and finally
15x10" diamond racing wheels, 4.5" backspacing
20mm ECS spacers front and rear to clear the calipers
275/35/15 Hoosier A6's
I had to cut a little off of the black lower valance to turn in and the tires just touch the edge of the bumper and inner fenderliner on full lock, but who cares, it sticks.
Oh.. I almost forgot that I pulled the rear seats and put on a used VIS carbon fiber hood that I bought cheap cause it has a small crack
and Chrisvette, I'll see you at Frackville this Sunday

http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif Those are wide. 275's... we have 225's on our 13X8's (2 sets) and a set of 13X9's. That (your's) is a lot of rubber on the ground. And with your results, you are using it well. Come out here and beat up a BMW M3 and a STi and EVO for me.

Ben you don't need 275 on the rear, neither does the OP.
...& no need for huge rear swaybars with that set-up, either ... I doubt there is a way get "heat" in the rears ... = drift-o-machine.

Fun for sure . http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif ( ask how I know. )

Re: my vw with 15x10's and 275's (Martinus)

To the OP, you could put the rear seat and stock hood back on and be a completely legal DSP car too if you wanted. Agreed on the tire stagger and rear sway bar part too.

Yes, he would be completely legal for DSP, and would actually be a great car for it. Get a real suspension setup under it with some custom valved Koni's and some Ground Controls with stif rates, and it would be a true killer. That car in DSP would probably put you right at the top of PAX locally if you are winning SM. You must already be close anyway winning SM.

I'm in the same boat... SM or DSP it's my choice. I personally went for SM because theres actually competition there and a goal to shoot for. DSP is a ghost town and I would rather lose to tough competition than win to no competion.

I cannot run in DSP because of the Bildon axles, and the ring and pinion change. Also I believe the diverter valve and inlet pipe are not DSP legal. Trust me I would love to run DSP, so if the rules changed since last year let me know and I'm going to Nationals!
