Re: My Winter Pics (hsd16vdub)

Why do you store your car over the winter man. Doesn't it get lonely in there? It's like isolated from the rest of the dubs, like some poor old monk or something.
Release that beast, and don't bother storing it for the rest of your life. Just give it a good rust check a couple of months before winter, put your stock lip back on, (spare your EU lip), and make sure you wash it at a touchless car wash a couple of times to wash the salt off. Oh yeah, and give it a good couple wax jobs before winter begins.
It seems like a lot of work, but if you love your Dub, and you love driving it, then you'll love taking care of it!

Re: My Winter Pics (4NRYDE)

With the amount of salt and potholes on the roads here in the winer i wouldn't want to subject any car to that ..especially one that has only 2.5" of ground clearance ..winter ruins cars...since i get free storage space and have a second car anyhow, i might as well take advantage . .saves on insurance/gas and car washes for more vw money in the spring/summer

I cant go into a touchless wash . .too low . .haha ..i have yet to find one that doesn't have a little ramp thing to get inside.
