Some mofo backed into my car last week and I have an insurance claim which may involve me getting a new rub strip for my front bumper. I'm wondering if the replacement rub strips (NA-spec, stock) for the Golf front bumper have the holes drilled for the licence plate frame already, or are they drilled in after the strip is painted? Thanks
If i ever get hassled for no front plate I'll try to tell the cop that I just got a new rub strip and haven't drilled the holes yet, or if that doesn't work, I'll attach the plate to the middle lower grille using zip straps.
yeh i tried that line...50$ spend on a jerk which could have been spent on mods or donated to a charity where it would be of more use than the stupid governement
Illinois mandates front plates. I have driven without one for 14 months. In that time I've been pulled over for speeding and been in an accident, and the cop didn't care. If you don't look like a jerk in your car, the cop probably won't nail you for pointless crap. NOT that I am accusing anyone on here of acting like a jerk, but this is just my experience.
