Re: NAIAS News (bgluckman)

Do all of these come out the same year, or is this just a list of cars that will definitely be introduced in the future?

This is everything we'll see in Detroit in January. For the Production models, certain cars will go on sale immediately, certain cars will go on sale later.
Notice the abscence of either VW or Hyundai from the list.

Re: NAIAS News (bgluckman)

I would doubt that list is complete. I'm sure VW and Hyudai will have something new. I think we will see the GTi 25th Ann. and the Jetta GLi in Detroit.

Oh please, please, please
Re: NAIAS News (130_R)

I sat in both the M3 and the M3 Cabrio last year. Maybe they weren't out officially at that point, but they sure did look production...

No, VW SUV doesn't come out until 2003.

Re: NAIAS News (Hajduk)

Or perhaps the VW D1? When are they going to do a North American debut?
Re: NAIAS News (boybaha)

Volkswagen will have the following on display:
- New Beetle Turbo S
- 24v VR6 GTI
- Jetta GLI
- Passat W8 (maybe but likely)
SUV won't be till 2003 Detroit since Porsche will be introducing theirs at this years NAIAS. The D1 is also likely a 2003 NAIAS intro for North America. The New Beetle Convertible *was* to be introduced at the New York show next spring but it may be delayed a bit longer... we'll see.
