I remember those here. They were sold here from 82-85 and had a regular 1.6 with 80-85 hp and a 1.6T with 115 hp. They also ahd the dual range 8-speed tranny system. The coupe version of this car was called Cordia.

I've seen a Cordia before, they were WERID looking cars. but i knew they have a turbo and they are pretty peppy.

I see a Cordia few times on my commute to school, does look
rather unusual. Didn't know they had a turbo. Were all models
turbo? And what about the 8-speed transmission? What is that
like?

The 8-speed is actually more like 4x2 (I think they were badged such). You had a regular 4-speed tranny, but an extra "transfer" case with a sport and a economy gear. In other words, you could change the final drive ratio. 4 gears in sport mode, 4 gears in economy mode is 8 gears total. Quite cool, really. Most owners let it rest in economy for ever.
