Doesn't the NSX have big side vents?
Re: Name this car - undertray edition (Obelix)

It's got to be that new NSX cross SUV I have seen testing out here, apparently Honda is testing roll over protection for the national institute of highway safety.

Well based on the grass thigie being about 2 feet tall, and the camera being about 25 feet from the car at a 3X zoom, that one squirl on the tree which is a adult which would measure I think 10 inches long, plus the angle of the sun. I take my Formula which is Coke+Time+Nando+Candy= Thing
Using this I have come up the Hypothesis that the car is not a Nissan Skyline.

Can you say understeer
. Notice the Viper and 911 in the background of one of the pictures? They must have been on a high speed cruise and the NSX driver overcooked the turn.

Yeah, but wouldnt the car have to been coming from where the Viper and 911 are at for it to do that and end up where it did?
EDIT: at the bottom of the pic there are tire mark's so if he did come from where the camera person is standing he/she turned sharply right.

Hard to tell......
However, I think it's hilarious that people that have to money to buy these cars never know how to drive them. Seriously, if you brake in mid turn in a MID ENGINED car, it will over steer like crazy. Give it gas, wait for the rear to squat and turn.
Re: Name this car - undertray edition (vertigobora)

It is an NSX...obviously...and...oh...my heart is aching...

insurnace to the rescue!

Surprising how little visible damage there is. Also suprising how close to the road the car still is. He couldn't have been going too fast.

Must've been the high centre of gravity and the fact that those vehicles are not meant to be driven fast!

I also find it hilarious that every time someone posts up a picture of an expensive accident, there is always the token "man these rich fat bastards should go to driving school".
Perhaps the word "accident" means exactly that.

Re: Name this car - undertray edition (CanuckPal)

My armchair forensics:
The wheels are also turned right, looks like "he" was over-correcting a little tail slide.
It looks to be a decreasing radius turn with a sandy outer lip.
The driver may not have been familiar with the road and mistaken it for a left hand sweeper. Trying a high line through the turn, the gravel helped the rear end got a little loose and in panic the driver overcorrected to the right. The front driver corner of the car sank into the soft shoulder and the car flipped and rotated like a top to land on the rear/driver's rear section first, then settled as seen in the photos.
Of course, he also may have been coming from the other direction and simply missed the turn and rolled horizontally off the road.
edit- just wanted to add how lucky they were they didn't hit the tree! Even at 45 mph a solid trunk would tear that car into pieces
Looks like everyone is OK.
