Please post pics of your Navigation systems, I will be buying a Golf IV and would like to get some Ideas of where to mount the screen w/o having to install the euro console will nav and radio in one.
I do alot of long distance traveling, so a DVD Nav system is a must so I dont have to replace disks frequently.
Thanks

You know our German 'Tex members are going to make us jealous by taking a snap shot of their OEM Navi with DSP... lovely... why couldn't we get the Digital Sound Processor...
While I'm ranting about DSP... what is it?

Does it really make a difference other than filling in the void above the 1 din radio. What if you have Monsoon? Any difference?

i thought it was just a radio in the nav system, so you would have to either use the nav dials for the radio or its a touch screen and you go to a radio screen and press you volume square or something.
Ive heard bad things about the MB COMMAND device, and I thought this was similar.
I just want a nav system. I do too much long distance driving, and Im always moving to a new city...every three months...for school and work. Im not kidding, and there is a curiculm to this madness.

I just purchased the Pioneer DVD Nav system but I have not installed it yet. I have a 7inch LCD and I am having a custom mount made for it that will replace my cup holders. I will put up some pic's when it is done.
I feel your pain on this one I had a heck of a time getting people to show their Nav systems I guess it is not high on most peoples list of mods.

Yes the screen is the correct size to fit in the slot my problem is figuring out how to make it slide out and roll up.
The screen fits I just have to figure out how to move it.

OK, here's my nav system. It's kind of ghetto, so don't poke fun at it. I bought the unit for use on my motorcycle, and when I got the Golf IV later, I figured I could use it in there as well, on rainy days.
It's a Garmin StreetPilot III. It does auto route calculation within North America and Europe. What I like about this unit is that I can unclip it in about 10 seconds and take it with me when I travel and am using rental cars. That is why I decided to buy a 'portable' unit, rather than going for a proper in-dash installation.
Michael

This is what it was really purchased for in the first place
