First off thanks to everyone who came by. Hope you all had a good time, we never did get around to the BBQ but considering the last car went on a around 4:30 it was quite the long day for a few of us. Now for the numbers:

Doug's 84 Rabbit w/ K&N 78whp 91wft-lbs
not bad for a $300 winter beater 'eh?
Dan's 82 Rabbit 1.8l, header/downpipe, 83whp. 94wft-lbs
a 20 somethng car and still in her prime
Lenny's 81 RAbbit Pickup 10:1CR AST Hor Hydroport cams, DP & exhaust
Lenny I didn't get your numbers..sorry. They were great and the truck ran prefect.. this thing was immaculate. I want one!!!
Joe's 92 Corrado SLC Eurosport ITG intake 144whp 143 wft-lbs
This car had serious detonation, we checked for DTCs with the VAG-Com (Thanks UWE!!) and found a MAF trouble code and that the ECU was backing out all the timing it could during acceleration. Joe's got a pretty cool fluke meter so we know he'll work this one out. p.s. Joe give me a shout if you want to swap MAFs or check for DTCs again.
Brian's 01 VR6 GTI bone stock 154whp 169 wft-lbs
the green machine.. this thing was cleaner than when he got it from the factory. supercharger on the way from Santa?
Art's 01 1.8T GTI GIAC chip, K&N flat panel 162whp 189 OR 206wft-lbs
Art's DV valve got stuck on the first run and the torque spiked to 206.. the other 2 runs it worked clean and was around 189.. yes Art we are all trying to figure out how to get it to stick all the time.
John 96 VR6 GTI TT 2.5" exhaust GIAC chip, P-flo 160whp 159 wft-lbs
very clean run, great A/F, this thing runs incrediebly strong, just flush that nasty coolant out.
Steve 02 1.8T GTI Forced motion 3"downpipe & cat, APR switch-chip K&N flat panel 188whp 210wft-lbs
a red gti with the coolest red interior I have seen. The switch chip allowed Steve to change from stock to sport to race. No VP race fuel so he only ran stock and sport, so... with 188whp and 210-wft-lbs why would you want to switch it back to stock again?

Nate 90 CRX Turbo 9.2:1CR 5psi front mounted intercooler 141whp, 136 wft-lbs
Nate's car is a work in progress, tuning on the dyno can be fun. A little more time on the rollers to dial in the boost and fuel and look out.
Scott 00 VR6 GTI ITG coolflow. 2.5" eurosport exhaust 158whp 170wft-lbs
a chip away from a few more ponies run looked reall similar to Brians with a bit more torque and hp over 5,800 .. exhaust effect maybe?
Doug 90 G60 Stage 3, 260 cam, tt exhaust, 944 FPr 162whp, 150wft-lbs
the "real Doug" G60 just gets stronger every year. Sorry we didn;t have a chance to dyno Matt's Ford Lightning. Got a feeling that pickup would have been the days strongest runner.
Ricky 90 G60 stage 4, K&N, tt exhaust.. ???whp ???ft-lbs
Ricky and Rich have the 2 strongest G60s we've had at the dyno, didn't get his number this year but they were just a few hp/ft-lbs less than this spring. Still a strong G60 that'll run with (or around) any N/A VR6
Ron 90 CRX Si DC header & intake 108whp 99 ft-lbs
a sweet green CRX with an immaculate engine bay. No "ric#" here
Grant 92 Civic B16JDM motor, turbo 10.4CR 6psi front mounted intercooler 183whp and 183 ft-lbs
Grant was tuning this run and only went up to about 6,700 rpm out of his 8,200 redline. The car was running lean so it will be back to tune in fuel and raise the boost another day.
Ed 99 Passat 1.8T mystery mods with front mount intercooler 166whp and 195ft-lbs
This black passat was sweet, nice rims and the front mount hiiden behind the front facia was pretty impressive.
Now for the awards:
Hall of Shame:
Me
92 SLC, p-chip, tt 2.5 exhaust, p-flow, DSR 256 cams, quafie.. AST lightened fylwheel....blah blah. Was 170whp, w171 ft-lbs before I threw a rod is now ... ugh
148whp & 135 ft-lbs. A/F looks great, no DTCs, compression is good, VAG-com shows no major timing being pulled out... time to start replacing things and see what's up. Give a t-body adaptation a shot today and back to the dyno to tune again....
Most improved:
Gabe 01 GTI 1.8T milltech exhaust 147whp 162wft-lbs
Gabe then had Andy " Up Your's " Smith burn and install an Upsolute chip on site.. drum roll please
Gabe 01 GTI 1.8T milltech exhaust & Upsolute chip 189whp, 236wft-lbs
hmm.. 42whp and 74wft-lbs in about an hour.. Schwweet !!
p.s. Gabe she's deciding whether to get you a tatoo or 3" downpipe from Santa.. get a ring on her finger quick

There were a few folks who left before I could get their numbers or requested I not post their results. soooooo I won't.
Thanks again and I'll try to set one up in April or May so we can do our winter mods and add see what difference it makes.
In the meantime go fast but stay safe!!

Looks like I'll have to get a milltek exhaust and the 4Motion rear valence for that extra horsepower.

Art

Or an Upsolute chip...I can't believe he got that much power. I should have gotten mine done too.

Art,
The milltek seems to make good dyno-proven HP in my eyes....definitely check it out. Plus the 4-mo valance looks sweet. If you get it, I can give you some tips on install...Gabe

Re: NE Dyno Day Results!!! (wolfsburg_de)

Hey Andy,
I was reading the results from Dyno day which I was unable to attend. I am wondering about the vw that you chipped with the milltek exhuast. With those results of 145hp and 189hp how was the exhuast making any significant hp difference from stock baseline hp and the up chip? Isn't the chip alone supposed to hit those numbers. I am looking to add an new exhuast set up but why spend the money if the bolt on hp is not there. I've got to say you chipped my car a month ago up in in NH and I love it, there is no ill will here at all just looking for an explanation http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

Re: NE Dyno Day Results!!! (wolfsburg_de)

Maybe you misunderstood the question or maybe I'm in the dark here. I'm trying to figure out the gain if any of an exhaust up grade. By those numbers on that car it appears that the exhaust is not changing the hp at all or if it is adding hp it would mean the chip is putting out less. See what I'm getting at? Depending on the exhaust set up and brand ect where is the gain? If I divide the hp at the wheels by any number I will get a lower number at the crank than at the wheels . I thought the loss was from the crank to the wheels?

Re: NE Dyno Day Results!!! (wolfsburg_de)

Still better than my 17.8 gear grinding run. Second has never been the same since. I gotta get a baseline dyno though.
Looking into a K04, but the 20VGTI is off the road until April. A salt allergy

Drop me a note sometime to talk about intercoolers. And chips.

If you divide by a number smaller than one, the result gets bigger.

So, 189/0.875=216.

I know what you are getting at, but I'm not sure of the exact gain for this car since he didn't dyno with just the chip and the stock exhaust. Your best bet for maximum power with your current setup would be a 3" turbo back, IMHO.

Surge,

Long time, no see. Hehe, an Epping pass would be helpful (I still have yet to get under 2.4 for a 60 ft time
