Autobahn Extremist in Avon Lake, I have no experience with this shop, but they seem to know their stuff. I live a couple of miles away which is the only reason I know they exist. Perhaps they can help you...

Autobahn guys are more into Porsches but they may help you out. You also have German Auto Pros in Parma, Hstuning in Westlake, and Eurolabs Autohaus in Amherst. All good guys all certified.

I just had HS Tuning do a stage 1 tune. And they helped me out last year with a major issue on 2012 GTI... can't believe I forgot to mention them in my other post. Not familiar with the other 2.

German Auto Pros have a nice shop and lots of options available and the Eurolabs in Amherst does OEM only work.

Hi...if anyone is interested in picking up a set of Rotiform INDs 19x8.5 et45 on the cheap and refinishing, let me know. I've got a set but there's corrosion on the face. I'm in Akron but am willing to meet somewhere in between if interested. New 19x8.5 IND-Ts are about $1100 after tax. I have no idea what it costs to refinish a wheel, but I figure a couple hundred for a set, so I'd let these go for $800 or best? Here's a pic of one. If any interest, I can send pics of all 4. If I'm wrong on what it takes to refinish a wheel, let me know and we can discuss price further. I want to be realistic about the condition, but also fair considering if you refinish them you'll have a flawless set of the sexiest wheels ever made [:D]

Drop me a PM to discuss further if there's interest.

Looking for someone with Lane Assist on a newer VW

Hi all,

I'm looking for someone in Northeast Ohio who has a VW with the camera above the rearview mirror and the Lane Assist system. I would really love to see how well the Adaptive Lane Tracking modification that can be coded via OBDeleven works. Here's my full story, and why I need to check out the system before buying:
https://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?9347421-Potential-Arteon-owner-hand-pain-and-adaptive-lane-tracking

Ideally I wanted to try Adaptive Lane Tracking on an Arteon, but I would settle for any VW car that has the system -- since I'm guessing it will function the same on other models.

If you've already enabled Adaptive Lane Tracking on your car, that's great. But even if you haven't, I bought an OBDeleven and we could code it together. It looks like it only takes a few minutes and it's a simple modification (and it's easy to turn off if you don't like it).

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide!

im in medina everyday all day, but i live in spencer. I see alot of mk3/4's but idk if they get on vortex or ohiovw.com or fatdubs

So far i've seen:
-a primer bombed mk3 golf at tacobell in medina (parked next to me)
-a teal mk2
-a black mk4 jetta (my buddy)
-a couple older people in gti's
-an old guy in a silver beat up mk3 golf
-2 red mk3 golfs (younger guys, one has a midwing)
-a couple 3.5 cabrios
-a black mk3 cabrio that works where i work
-a coupler mk2 jettas
Ha!! That old guy in the GTI you saw might have been me!

I just bought a 2017 GTI Sport, 63000 miles. I'm coming out of a 2014 Audi S4, so it's a step down, but I'm still loving the new wheels. Anyone in NE Ohio who can recommend a solid, trustworthy VW mechanic/shop? I live in Lakewood, as far north as you can get in Ohio without getting your feet wet.

Any GTG's that take place in NE ohio? I have an 84 rabbit and want to show it this summer (assuming all the virus worries have settled down).

Picked up my first VW/euro car a few months ago. 2017 VW Alltrack SEL in tornado red, and it came 100% stock. Within the first 2 months I've already replaced the pads and rotors, and swapped in an IS20 and an APR tune to match.

Anyone know of a local locksmith that can cut VW/Audi switchblade keys? I picked up a 2011 Audi A3 and it only had 1 key. Dealer wants $310 for the key + $165 to program. I was hoping for something a little less than that. I understand I'll still need the dealer to program because of the immobilizer but hoping for a break on the fob and the cutting.

Thanks,
-Brett.
