Re: need a idle screw, VW discontinued it ? (philf1fan)

really? odd. I suggest you take a long flashlight look around your car.
i've twice blown my out to find it near the firewall sitting around.
LOC-TITE or drilling a tiny hole and threading a wire through it to prevent it from leaving the bay is smart idea.
(HINT those that dont want to lose theirs, use a tiny drill bit, through the head and run a wire to somewhere so when she pops you won't lose this $9 part. I'm sorry i gave away all my spares that i bought or i'd offer you one free for shipping price.

There has to be one at some dealer somewhere. It is not like they all jsut dissapeared.
Call a different dealer.

Re: need a idle screw, VW discontinued it ? (CardFan)

Must be that Time of year... I just called the dealer for one over the weekend and said it was only part of throttle body adn could not find a listing separately. I even had him look under and 85 scirocco (same part). I told him that I have bought them before and luckily I found the part number for him to CR.
# 067133432a.
FYI, if you wrap some teflon tape (on the threads only), you can create a tight fit and still adjust. Now, all of my cars have it so

Also, I found o-rings at AutoZone last night that work on the idle screw. Item # 64452.

Now THAT /\ is great information!!! I hate having to replace the whole thing, when just the o-ring is worn out!

Now I'll have to see if my dealer can get ahold of the screw, I'm sure a spare will comen handy at some point.

Impex shows both 037133432 & 037133432A available, anyone know what is the difference?
