Hey I just got my GHL tips from halchka99. His rear lip melted on the tips so I was wondering how i can clean it off and what can i use to get that nice chrome back?

bake it in your oven for 20 minutes @ 350. then wipe clean when hot. let it cool, and repolish with a good chrome polish.

common sense... it got on there from the plastic melting... so you can get it off by remelting the plastic... otherwise maybe some rubbinng compound, or several stages of sand paper, and then some polishing

I would get some Kevlar Gloves to do it... We use them at work to grab pans coming out of an oven at about 400 degrees.
Burning yourself with a 350+ dregree piece of metal is not fun....

how would you guys suggest doing it if the tips are on the car? run the car for a bit and try getting it off with rubbing compound?

that sounds like a great idea! what do you guys think? Should i install it on the car then run it then get the compoound off

, just bake it. it will take no more hen 25 minutes to get hem like new.
