i got 195/65/14... i dont have it lowered at all tho... theyre quite beefyfor a small car.. the 195,s may be a bit wide id think .. may cause excessive wear in the outer edges of the tyres something to think bout if it is gonna be a daily driver
may want to stick with the 185,s for the standard rim
185/60-14 was the stock size. Those are widely available.
195/55-14 works well. Dunlop still makes that size, and Toyo used to. You might find some Toyos in that size somewhere still. There are also some competition tires in that size.
205/55-14 is almost exactly the same roling diameter as the stock size (and was used on the 16V GTI's as the stock size), but those are only available in competition tires these days.
I've never seen 195/45-14 or 195/50-14, but I really haven't looked for those.
195/60-14 will usually work at stock ride height, but can rub in extreme cornering. If you lower it, the rubbing problems can get worse. 205/60-14 will almost always rub in cornering. Both of these sizes will also be taller than stock, raising your gearing and making your actual speed faster than what is indicated on the speedometer.
