it's like -45degres celcius here, and my jet doesn't want to start....it barelly cranks...cranks like once slowly, and then stops....se here is the deal, I was trying to boost it, but its not taking the power. I am thinking that it is because I am not able to find a good ground?....I mean there is power coming through the cable (sparks when touched) but when I put it on the + of the battery, and then ground it....no spark when it is grounded....
PLEASE HELP ME....WERE DO I GROUND IT!!!

HAHAa....ahhh montreal sucks doesn't it.....I wanted to know where to ground, not who else has problems.........

the engine block is usualy where you are suppose to ground it. anything metal in the engine bay will give you a good ground.
Don't start the car right away, hook it up and let it sit for 5 mins or so to charge yours up a bit.

I jumped my Jetta a month ago and had similiar problems. Hard to find a good ground. I finally hooked up right to the negative terminal. Still nothing until I played around with the clamps. Then I finally got a good connection and it started right up.

You would figure that by this day and age of modern automotive technology, some genius would actually put a post, bolt or something clearly marked "groundut negative cable here." It would just make life easy. Just a thought.
Another thought(I'm gonna possibly get slammed for this), change to a synthetic oil if you're not already there. Goes a long way to make the starts easy in this brutal Canuck weather.
