Need help fast from anyone who has replaced a heater core...

okay, i'm in the process of replacing the heater core in my 86 gti. i have everything out including the dash and the vents. how the hell do i get the heater box out? the bentley says "pull the heater box out by taking the three nuts off that attach it the the car". i don't see any places where the heater box is held down by nuts. the box isn't budging so i know there's something hold it down. can anyone help me out on what i need to detach and where? thanks in advance. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif

The nuts are on the other side of hte firewall, behind the exhaust manifold. You'll need a deep 10mm socket to get them off.
If you're still struggling with it tomorrow, I'll help you out, as I'm (supposed to be) coming by tomorrow.

yo dave, we found the bolts and we finished the whole ordeal. took a long time, ran into some complications but all in all it turned out all good. i'll probably see you tomorrow if you swing by before i go back to school. peace. http://****************.com/smile/emthup.gif
