I am only seeing 16 psi spikes and holding at 13 psi. Everyone with GIAC 1.1 and APR chips (with stock IC) are saying they see 19-20 psi spikes (not that thats good, but...) and they hold at 15-16 psi. I am thinking its my FMIC causing pressure drop. any ideas??

Dunno, cars adapt to different conditions. Boost is a factor of a requseted load. If the ECU sees that load with only 16psi, then it won't get any higher. It can change as the weather changes. I bet when it warms up, you get 19 psi.
Or, you could just have a boost leak...

is there a way to Vag-Com boost pressure? If so Shaun maybe we need to test my car to see what it's putting out - to be honest yesterday the one time you accelerated hard you car felt A LOT stronger acceleration wise than mine did - I don't think you have any boost problems at all........maybe a leak in the gauage line or something?

thanks - we are doing a dyno day on this saturday and will hopefully have a Vag-Com as well as dyno results........

Did you put on that damn blow-off valve again. I thought it made your boost drop with the autothority chip. I am not technical, but if it happened before with the bov/autothority and it happened again with the bov/giac I think we can narrow the problem to that area

No scott, its NOT THE BOV!! This boost was happening with Forge DV in also. The weird thing is the car is still VERY fast...even with only showing 13 psi holding.

I see your problem now you have v6 shaun, upgrade to version 10 and you will see big spikes when I drovw Pat01aww car with DP and v10 I saw a 23psi peak and it help 1 bar all teh way up

I have herd the same fromt the new APR versions they eliminate the big spikes but run better and just as fast if not faster but I never herd of a version10 GIAC Whats that program I thought the newest was v6 isent that a race version? what about just going back to GIAC version 5?

If you're clueless then don't chime in. Version 6 is the smoothest chip, but does not have the torque down low or the top end of 10, although 6 has a better top end then 4 IMO. 10 is the newest chip out there. Also there is no race chip for AWW motor's

Check the PCV T juction under the manifold, the "bleeder" pcv valve goes bad after a while, creating an oily mess. 13K miles on mine went kaput, the valve actualy leaks when new, go figure. I have since disabled, no problems so far.

yes, there is a way to measure boost, load etc with the vag... Jay 24 ran that on my car on Sat after he helped me install the APR chip. I believe he will be up there on sat.
Also, I think there may be others bringing Vags too, so don't worry!! Hopefully we can get you striaghten out on Sat!!
