I am only seeing spikes of 16 psi or so, and i'm only holding at 13 psi. I am thinking at this point its a boost leak, but wanted to see what boost others with my similar setup are seeing. I want to see if others with FMIC are seeing lower boost than those with stock IC (from pressure drop) or if i just may have a boost leak. It will hold 15 psi in 5th gear, but no others.

Don't you listen ot me shaun I'm telling you upgrade to 10 and you will see your spikes to go to 20psi and higher and it'll hold 1bar till 6k. Yes you will lose some boost from the FMIC because all the extra tubing but not that much

Well, supposedly their are people here that are still seeing huge spikes with a FMIC, thats why i need some opinions from people with a similar chip and FMIC. And I will upgrade to v10 as soon as I can get a day off to go to AWE.

APR Chip and ATP's FMIC: Spike 20-21 and holds 15-16
EDIT -- this is their original AWD engine code chip too, never did see a decrease on the gauge from before to after the IC install

Actually your MAP sensor is POST ic so you should still get the same boost level's I'm pretty sure! It's just with pressure drop your turbo will have to produce more boost to get the same desired output. YOu might not spike as bad, but you should get the same boost level requested. It should actually act kinda like a dampening force to make it MUCH closer to the requested line IMHO.

Well, i'm gonna do some VAG COM testing of the actual and requested boost and see if that has anything to do with it.

What do you mean by USED TO spike at 21??
I have NEVER seen more than 17.

i used the 1.3bar chip, let me bask in my 3 seconds of glory.
btw : i got my flights confirmed for jamaica - $533 for 10days and airfare, you shoulda came!!!

OK, VAG COM'd the JTI yesterday and the VAG COM showed 15 psi holding, and my gauge was only showing 13 psi, guess its a POS.

My gauge has always only shown -17 at idle. Peaks to ~16 or 17 at WOT then backs off.

check for kinks then
i idle at -20 to -21
iin gear of gas -22 to -23
spike to 19
hold at 15 or so
when i had a kink i idled at around -10 and dint move
smaller upstream kind idled at 17 and spiked at 15.
