Re: need help! fuel pump relay (757jetdr)

If it has happened more than once, it sounds like there is a unwanted connection happening in the fuse relay panel or a bad wire somewhere in the circuit.

a bad pump would blow the fuse before the relay wouldn't it?

nope, open circuit or bad ground I think. I am bad with electrical but check your grounds. Something is broke making the relay over heat from constantly running.

Re: need help! fuel pump relay (JamMasterJay83)

Something broken.... faulty circuit.... too much juice to the relay.....all "Yes." in one way or another....
The FP relay runs constantly while the car is running if everything is fuctioning correctly.
Right track though.... too much juice from somewhere overheating the relay...
Dozens of options here....
faulty ground causing "current feed back"
fuse/relay apnel which got wet one too many times
faulty electrics in the FP and/or bad connection....

Thanks. I'll keep looking. Does anyone have a link to get a decent wiring diagram?
