i need help lowering the rear of a type 3 if anyone can help or know a web page that tells you how it would help out a lot thanks

If you are familiar with how to lower the rear end of a type 1 you got it! The type 3 has the exact same rear suspension, so you should be able to find the procedure on the net, just search for type 1. I dont know of any links to a page right now, but surely some links should be posted here later.
Basically, the rear axle or trailing arm from the spring plate, unbolt the cover at the front end of the spring plate and then tap the spring plate outwards. CAUTION! The spring plate will spring down about 2" when it is pressed out. Then you just adjust the spring plate in the splines of the torsion bar ad reinstall.
